Anonymous 08/07/22(Sun)14:27:27 No.3486338 Okay /f/uckers, it's time to get off your asses and make some catchy loops! This tutorial gives you a basic look at how Flash works, how to make a loop, and how to amaze your /f/riends -- no actionscript required! I was a real slowpoke making this flash. I started it in February 2021. I hope it encourages some of you who haven't created one before to give this whole Flash thing a shot -- it's not so hard once you understand the basics. If you have suggestions to improve this tutorial (I'm sure you'll have many) I may incorporate them in a later version. As a reference, here is the .fla file for the loop you are guided to make: https://mega.nz/file/wYZH1DIC#74IipfICejmCQY_roz6RFLuJz8bw8I06zmZNK0w7dH8 I had better see some fresh loops in the next few days! >> [_] Anonymous 08/07/22(Sun)14:41:07 No.3486339 >>3486338 this is a fucking great tutorial and should be stickied for the rest of /f/'s days I salute you OP, today you were not a fag but a real scholar and a true gentleman >> [_] Anonymous 08/07/22(Sun)16:11:19 No.3486346 Actual good shit OP, well done. >> [_] Anonymous 08/07/22(Sun)16:53:15 No.3486351 Holy shit. I would add that if you want to use scripting and you care about Ruffle compatibility (not like the mods will ever update the version of Ruffle the site uses) then you should use AS2 and maybe an older version of Flash. I like Flash 8. >> [_] Anonymous 08/07/22(Sun)18:53:16 No.3486357 >>3486356 Based Flash 8 enjoyer. >> [_] Anonymous 08/07/22(Sun)18:59:42 No.3486358 Nice, OP. I'm glad people actually find this useful. >>3486392 I deliberately didn't mention Ruffle because I feel like people should be using the projector. AS3 was made during the days of "everything /must/ be object oriented or else it's obsolete" and it shows. Even something as making a clickable button is a chore and a half to do. The fact that Action Script programing is no longer used professionally outside of some mobile apps, and the fact that modern Flash files are most likely not going to be communicating with remote servers or networks pretty much makes AS3 useless, especially since Ruffle uses AS2 mostly. >> [_] Anonymous 08/09/22(Tue)00:11:55 No.3486427 >>3486400 This dubs further validate said claims. I just recently got into making loops specifically like this and everything about this I had learned except for the symbol part!!! I was manually moving each frame of the gif frame by frame because I didn't know any other way to do it! Thank you OP!!!! |
