What is this black magic?!?! >> [_] Anonymous 05/09/22(Mon)18:32:38 No.3482894 I fucked up and got a degree after working labor jobs for years. Now I'm over-educated for jobs I know how to do and have no experience in jobs I want to do so no one will hire me to do anything. I just sit around and wait to die most days. I don't understand this planet or the people on it. Sucking bits of nostalgia out of a nearly dead flash board on a korean puppetry forum is about all I do to keep some semblance of self. Other than that everythings great. >> [_] Anonymous 05/09/22(Mon)22:19:57 No.3482898 I've sorta left 4chan for the most part, mostly been going back to /f/ every so often for the memories. New company now coming apart at the seams, I haven't been paid in 2 months, behind on bills and I'm running out of food. ...I still feel better than I did while working my old job. >> [_] Anonymous 05/10/22(Tue)09:22:07 No.3482927 >>3482894 Wait, are you me? At least, there's a job that you would like to do, anon. That's a start. Most anons here seem to be into IT some form or other. It makes sense, having a high affinity for teh c0mputors. But in my experience, those kinds of jobs are just as low-paid grunt work that destroys yourself slowely, like any other McJob. Smaller companies are better in that regard, but have a tendecy of me ending up as boomer printer support monkey half of the time, unpaid obviously. Guess you'd have to do real computer science to get out of that, but then again, that is basically mathmatics and I'm not too fond of that (not bad in math neccessarily but I don't like it). So atm I just work as some "data management assistant" and colour in excel sheets for the management every day. >> [_] Anonymous 05/10/22(Tue)11:44:43 No.3482929 is fortnite valid? >> [_] Anonymous 05/10/22(Tue)11:45:54 No.3482930 >>3482929 now it is because they took away building. >> [_] Anonymous 05/10/22(Tue)12:10:00 No.3482931 >>3482927 A lot of what I read in these threads is so relatable I'm never quite sure I didn't get drunk and write it myself. I had an "office" job for a short time while I've been looking around and after about the third day I was day dreaming about old jobs and by the fifth I was measuring the ceiling for a noose. The computer jobs are alright but I agree they're low paying and monotonous work. It's just frustrating as hell to spend all that time and money on a degree and then not have it benefit you in any tangible way. >>3482917 You're getting fucked over, I %100 would rather do a low paying job that I love over a high paying job I despise but don't do it for free. Being nice and understanding is one thing but 2 months without pay is being taken advantage of and if they're in as bad of shape as you say you're going to have worked that for free if they go under. Good luck, we might not all make it but at least we have /f/ >> [_] Anonymous 05/10/22(Tue)13:02:33 No.3482934 >>3482931 Almost certainly, been filling out more applications today. I am working in a kitchen as a line cook. It's the only job that bothered to give me more than a phone interview. It's only been one 20-hour work week and I already feel like I'm a walking corpse. I think I'd be much better at stacking boxes. >> [_] Anonymous 05/10/22(Tue)16:02:28 No.3482944 >>3482930 tried fortnite several years ago and my first thought was that building ruined the game. i won't try it again but good on them. nothing more annoying than a literal fortress spawning in 0.75 seconds whenever you came across another player. people that wasted their time learning how to build a fortress in 0.75 sec must feel a bit like a fool tho. >> [_] Anonymous 05/10/22(Tue)20:11:59 No.3482951 >>3482944 I mean its good that they took away building but I would actually play it its just not my type of game its not like I hate it tho >> [_] Anonymous 05/10/22(Tue)20:49:56 No.3482953 >>3482875 Good going, anon.
