  That blur effect appears to be part of the original gif - OP simply left the blur out of the
  default window size. The (c) at the bottom right is also part of the gif.

  It did come out great in this case, but try to avoid empty space in gifs in general.
  It still takes a sizable amount of filesize for nothing in return.
  That's why you use flash. You can put text or whatever anywhere and it takes up nearly no
  additional space.
