  The influx of christfags to this site over the last few years continues to perplex me. Did you
  guys convert back unironically? Is this some nebulously political move to own the libs? Do you
  secretly find the historical background + allegorical teachings of Christianity and their
  implications interest you more than the bible's literal interpretation? Is this a tradwife thing?

  Religious people focus on the good stuff like love each other and ignore the gore and violence.
  The people who say the bible is 100% true I'm wary of because do they advocate killing people?

  So I liked the song, and I do like the nice things the bible says but not because they simply
  feel good, it's because Love and truth holds the key to a funcational society while hate, fear
  and lies lies does not.

  I just realized this is a zeitgeist flash and I feel a little bit betrayed... but thank you for
  answering. I think that part of the reason Christianity has persisted for the last 2 millennia
  has been its ability to adapt through picking and choosing which passages are taught to the
  congregation and careful framing of the ideas surrounding the religion at any given time.
  It currently preaches peace because it has had to adapt to a peaceful time where people were
  generally more skeptical and had more options to believe in. However, it is perfectly capable of
  adapting again if the opportunity arises.

  Memes aside, I've definitely seen an uptick in the amount of people overtly expressing faith when
  the topic does come up. I was on a /tv/ thread earlier with multiple posts that claimed to have
  enjoyed the young pope more for having been christian. Can't find the number now unfortunately.

  thankfully it already recided

  if you want my honest opinion on why there could be more chistians on 4chan - it would most
  likely have to do with poor countries slowely swarming the internet, as backwards ass countries
  that still feature christianity are way more likely to have brought up young people with (while
  not necessarily very faightful christians) religion playing a more central role in their lifes
  unfortunately western countries have already forsaken most believe besides maybe aluha ackbars,
  so it might seem unusual to see people who even talk about such things

  do realize is quite a long time ago now, so perhaps influx is the wrong word... I get the
  impression that /f/ is mostly oldfags that have seen the changes but I could be wrong about that.

  Sorry for the confusion, the /tv/ example I used was just the most concrete/recent example I had
  in my head. I don't feel the uptick is localized to one board and seems to be a slow increase
  rather than a sudden flood of users.
