I just drag and drop the swf into the existing flash player

I just use a browser that still supports NPAPI plugins (Pale Moon), and just continue to use
regular Adobe Flash plugin 32.0.0.465 with the timebomb patched out.

either drag and drop the swf into a flash .exe (best for heavier games or laggish swf's, i use
the flashplayer_32_sa_debug you can find on internet archive), as for browser, i'm using flash 32
in pale moon
