whats wrong with ruffle
This loads just fine in it
>> [_] Anonymous 08/07/23(Mon)16:30:45 No.3497910
Ruffle only gets used by Position 9s.

Works fine, Ruffle's come a long way in the last year alone. That said though, /f/'s version
should be updated as it dates back to March of this year.

Some of us don't feel like jumping through hoops just to get the old flash plugin working again
when the offline projector still works and Ruffle exists.

>too dumb to use flash in modern day
>download a patreon flash furry porn game called space paws
>suddenly everything on /f/ loads just fine through it's .exe since it's just packaged flash

just use the ruffle plugin for firefox. it's mostly up to date so i don't have to mess with the
version of ruffle on /f/.
The plugin will also open all flash files directly with ruffle (even embedded stuff). it feels
just like when the official flash plugin worked in firefox.

for like a year after flash closed at least you could just download the .exe straight from adobe

Plugin works only if I open the .swf in a new tab, otherwise the embed uses an older version of
Ruffle. I feel like they should just give you the option to enable the native Flash player for
embeds for those who want to use newer versions of Ruffle and those who just prefer to keep using
the plugin. Although, I've noticed that Newgrounds seems to be always using the latest nightly
version of Ruffle which leads me to believe they've set up something that automatically updates
their version of Ruffle as soon as a new nightly comes out. Would be interesting if /f/ had that
implemented as well.

i have a good version of the stand alone slash exe. I know adobe took it down, but the best way
to watch flashes and have this exe and associate it to your flashes and just download the files
in your browser and open them. i can zip it and upload it somewhere if any of u guys need

try using zip encryption with a different filename maybe, they shouldn't be that smart that they
can just casually say your random byte string is actually a .exe in a zip
renaming to evade the check of does the file end with .exe ? encryption to make it impossible for
checking the file headers

Yeh, this is the only drawback. If a site has Ruffle implemented, only that version will be
loaded, not the one in the plugin.nevertheless i think it's a great implementation. if there are
still sites that embed SWF files directly, the plugin can almost always display them.
