[_] question inside Anon 3415600 How do I make a loop from audio and reduce the seams? Are there any programs or techniques you all use? I've been splicing segments together using Audacity but the results have been mixed so far and flash compounds the issue by sometimes adding a gap when a timeline finishes like at the end of the intro here.
>> [_] Anon 3415603 >># do you import .mp3? because don't, the lame codec causes a small delay at the end which causes the loop to get thrown off make your loop in .wav, import into flash and set publish settings to .mp3 then it should be good also, from my personal experience, if you have multiple parts which REALLY need to be played back to back, it just doesn't work depending on the files like loading in a hueege audio loop at the end of another audio can just sometimes be off depending on the actual time it takes for the actionscript to pull it off like, even completely preloaded and all, the swf would just be off loop with the visuals at the seam, but if you reload the page, it would randomly be normal all of a sudden if you have trouble with the AS, here is an example that uses an intro and a seperate looping part https://web.archive.org/web/201805260833 35/https://railgun.ml/flash/I%20Am%20(Not )%20Very%20High.fla
>> [_] Anon 3415610 >># basically what this anon said >># you need to create an audio file in WAV format, with 44.1 khz frequency, then in flash click on the library tab, find the audio file, right click and hit properties there you set compression to MP3, check Convert stereo to mono, bit rate 160kbps and set quality to best if you actually open the MP3 file in audacity and check the spectogram you can see at the very beginning a little gap, that's what causes the silence between the loops
