Anonymous 11/18/24(Mon)10:32:50 No.3515420 HOW TO FLASH. HOW DO I MAKE FLASH IN LINUX, WHAT? DO I USE WINE? I recently got me Linux Mint and I wanted to know if there is anything similar to FLASH, >> [_] Anonymous 11/18/24(Mon)11:39:54 No.3515423 >>3515420 Nothing can replace the original adobe Flash. It is already perfect and simple to use. You should have a dedicated drive with some Windows OS installed to use any of the old flash programs. The old Flash 8 (Professional) works only on win7, so you would need a win7 to work just with that Flash version. There is a later Flash8 that works in Win10 and allows AS3. But it has some issues importing Adobe Illustrator files (.ai extension files). Win7 is a lightweight OS you should use that, along with the old [Flash (professional) 8]. That's great to start. Ideally you should have a side pc to work with that win7 + flash8 combo, you don't need much to run that, any old PC can do that. About the wine thing, still, Win7 should be the better option to emulate, so you will have to work with the "Flash -professional- 8" anyways. >> [_] Anonymous 11/18/24(Mon)11:54:33 No.3515425 >>3515420 Flash seems to work decently in wine. >>3515423 It's not worth installing to a different partition. If you really need Windows, it will be much easier to work with it on a VM since then you can switch between win and lin instantly, easily share files betwen them, and do a bunch of other things. >> [_] Anonymous 11/18/24(Mon)14:49:32 No.3515430 >>3515423 >>3515425 Thanks to both. I still have windows but I'm moving away from it and weighting my chances. If possible I would like to use it as little as possible. I have to check how to use Wine sooner or later, so might as well test it with this. >> [_] Anonymous 11/18/24(Mon)15:01:05 No.3515432 >>3515430 >I have to check how to use Wine sooner or later Step 1: Install wine Step 2: Run wine /path/to/program.exe There.
