Flash was too powerful to let it live.

I miss this style of humor. Perfectly clipped audio.

Unfortunately nobody will ever put that much effort into a joke again.
At least we got an easy way to generate voicelines of a person now with AI, that's the next best
thing, right?

It's not the same, there's something about a meticulously crafted voice clip job that adds to the
humor of it. Making anyone say just anything can be funny but the content of what you're making
them say needs to be better I feel. I think a clipjob is easier to find funny since you have to
parse together a sentence out of what the person has actually said, making it more challenging.

I feel it's similar to generating images. When you do it yourself it kinda shows on the details,
on the whole vibe the pic gives. Even when it's not perfect, I can feel the intention, like a 5
year old drawing boobs. With AI you're just accepting what it comes out. It will never come out
as you want it, that's the biggest lie of it. You just get something close to what you were
thinking of and settling for that. I'm not saying that is bad, it just feels soulless or
something to me. But the majority of people are okay with whatever and don't wanna bother so AI
is gonna triumph big.
Still, Ithink really obsessive people are gonna come out and do things by themselves.

>obsessive people
I think they are not "obsessive" people but instead, people yearning to have some fun with
something, anything at all. It's like making some piece of furniture instead of buying it from
ikea. Or getting an old ass busted car to fix it. Sometimes people need to DO something.
Some rich faggots grew up like that, choosing shit from a catalogue, they don't know what it
means to make anything. Even "their own" companies, they bought them from the original creators,
they don't have that mental spark. So they think that humanity should be like that, useless
consumers picking shit from a touchscreen. So they invest in AI absolutely convinced that's what
"everyone wants".
They are totally detached from the working and creating social classes. Life is a giant toy store
from them, where everything is already packaged and placed on a shelve.

I get that too. There is some sense of fulfillment in doing your own shit. Wherever I can do my
own shit or customize anything, I do it, I get that need.
Idk about rich guys, but if they promote that it won't take much for people to follow. Even if
people have fun at the start, they get addicted to that stimulation and seek it instead of
changing and doing something else. It's like those guys playing gta 5 to this day. Doing the most
repetitive boring shit ever, but they get caught on it and they play it to insanity. Works
perfect for companies, they only have to either release more of the same, or make a game that's
the same but a new coat of paint. AI works in the same too. Generate more of the same, not quite
new, not quite the same, not quite scratching that itch of something new, but close enough. And
do it 20 more times. Like that bot from Portal, the brit bot. Trying to watch the same test 20
times to see if it scratched his addiction for it. People have an addiction to content and it's
not something companies or rich guys are interested in fixing.
I think Satan in South Park has a nice scene talking about addiction.
