[_] Terry Cavanagh's Naya's Quest Anonymous 03/22/25(Sat)07:01:45 No.3520991
My Second favorite flash game from Terry.
Reduced from 12.7 MiB(LZMA(Thanks anon)) to 6.7 MiB(LZMA)/7.1Mib(Uncompressed) to make it fit.
There shouldn't be any fidelity loss though, all the major savings are from merging the identical
low fidelity chiptune stereo tracks into constant 64kbps Mono tracks.
Additionally, mods include:
>Added 'E' and 'F' as valid secondary keys besides 'X' because when playing with WASD, hitting
'X' is annoying.
>Scanner no longer turns off in free fall. I know Terry wants to make this game difficult and
clunky but I think this is a major QoL improvement in itself.
And since this game is pretty difficult, you can now give yourself lives by pressing '+' (on the
number row or the numpad) and remove them by pressing '-'.
Also disabled Ads, but that doesn't matter since they really only showed up on kongregate and
distractionware to begin with.
All in all, this is the definitive version of Naya's Quest and I think the first time it is being
posted on /f/ since it is normally above the file limit (It's there on swfchan however).
With this, there's only three more Cavanagh "games" left to be posted here from my collection,
and a few more interactive stories.
Marked for deletion (old).

Also, the game now saves to a global savefile "nq-isosave.sol", instead of "$local_path/isosave.
sol" under the Macromedia SharedObject directory, so that you can freely relocate the game.

I guess it's broken on Ruffle. Oh well. Download the projector and play. It's a great, very
professional game, definitely worth it.
