File: nyancaxx.swf-(9.95 MB, 512x288, Loop) [_] Anon 3441465 Happy 17th birthday 4chan! Hopefully I'll be able to upload another flash next year as well to celebrate the 18th. File: nyancaxx.swf-(9.95 MB, 512x288, Loop) [_] The real looping version æ !Dd7n98Z5E6 3434883 Why did I make a 9 year old video into flash? Because I felt like it. >> [_] Anon 3434929 the way she says "... MOVE!" just before she throws up in the toilet.. is so hot. i think it's the Baltimore accent. >> [_] Anon 3434930 >># in the full video, i mean. not in this truncated hot mess. >> [_] Anon 3434947 >># >9.95 MB You know there is a flash version the original "video". The whole thing is smaller this. >> [_] æ 3434948 >># Unfortunately not. Sure, I could have used the 2 second loop from the original that was released in swf, but for this theme song loop with all the extras, RedMinus didn't release the swf, so I had to work with the youtube mp4. Otherwise, the flash would have been just a 2 second extract from the original flash video, which is kinda pointless imo. Also that video wasn't on swfchan already for obvious reasons, sooo ... archive good? >> [_] Anon 3434950 >># Ok sorry my bad, ignore me. The beginning of that loop looks exactly like the one in the flash. I have religious level of hatred for any possible instance of flash being converted into video, I consider it blasphemy and respond impulsively without even checking if I am right. >> [_] Anon 3434954 >># yer doin' the lord's work, anon >> [_] Anon 3434955 g'job >> [_] æ 3434958 >># Yeah, no problem man, if someone just came and converted that 10min long video into flash, I'd be mad too. But this is actually the smallest possible cut of the visuals and the audio. They aren't the same length, but with flash that's not a problem fortunately, as they loop independently from one another. If I wanted a video that has the same level of fidelity cut, I'd most likely need the whole 10 mins at bitrate <100. >> [_] Anon 3434959 >># I so wish that youtube would have accepted swf uploads back in the day. So my billions of gigabytes of bandwidth and storage have been wasted due to youtube only accepting video. >> [_] Anon 3434974 >># the real answer is because old internet memes are best internet memes >> [_] Anon 3434975 >># imagine where flash would have been today if they had allowed flash animations with very basic actionscript to be posted. google could have easily detected or stripped away any harmful actionscript from uploaded swf files. youtube required flash for video playback up until 2010 or something and had support for the flash player until 2013 or something. so there was no reason to disallow safe swf animations, i don't get it. it would have added no bandwidth costs either, if anything it would have saved bandwidth since no swf to video conversions would be needed. they could have even expanded into a gaming section later if they wanted to, allowing more and more actionscript. even allowing all actionscript 3 for more trusted uploaders. sites like megaclip must have been really thankful that they didn't. interactive videos is something people have always wanted, flash could have provided that. instead google decided to remove what little interaction we had with those text-overlays that could be added to a video. some channels made several videos and you decided the story depending on where you clicked. all those are dead now, just due to google saying "no" for no reason. let's just remove the overlays. let's just not support flash. disallow flash. kill flash. |
