[_] Compressed SWF files impossible to convert? SWFConversionIsHard 3479262 Hello anons, I've never used the Flash board, but this seems like the perfect place to ask for help. Essentially, my gf gave me a bunch of old Flash (SWF) animations she made over a decade ago and I wanted to surprise her by converting them into different file formats: 3 of them are short loops with no audio, so I was thinking GIF); the other 2 are longer animations with audio, one has subtitles and the other doesn't, but they're exactly the same otherwise. Trying to convert these last two into literally any video file (MOV, MP4, FLV, MKV, WMV, etc.) yields errors like "New audio stream 012 at posXXXXXXXXXXX. Conversion failed" (replace X with numbers). The 2 longer animations also have a single clickable "Start" screen (the only interactive element in the whole thing -- not sure if that would affect conversion to video). As for the 3 soundless loop animations, they all fail to convert because of : "SWF compressed file detected. Output file 0 does not contain any stream" I've tried using a bunch of different conversion websites and even installed VLC Player to import the SWFs and export as other file types; no dice. I've also installed the Adobe Flash debugger and even an opensource Flash decompiler (FFdec) and I can play all the SWF files no problem. They just seem unconvert-able (maybe due to supposedly being compressed? desu I probably don't understand as much as someone who's actually worked with Flash). Importing the files and simply exporting them through the decompiler software doesn't change anything, the output files are either unplayable or unconvert-able. I can't repair the SFW files. Please help. Here is one of the loop files. Marked for deletion (old).

>> [_] Anon 3479265 Some stackoverflow post says that you decompress an swf as follows: >swfcombine -d file.swf -o file_new.swf See http://www.swftools.org/faq.html for more details.
>> [_] Anon 3479266 can you post a picture of your gf?
>> [_] SWFConversionIsHard 3479267 >># This isn't /b/, sorry mate. >># And where/how do I add that line of code? I've never dabbled in any of this before.

>> [_] Anon 3479284 >># I'd probably recommend to convert the swfs to .fla files and open them in actual flash (like cs6) to then reexport them to a movie setting of your choice. If you have a working avi file you can easily convert it into anything else like webm. Also if that doesn't work, I can recommend sothink swf converter. Like all of those they basically just screengrab the swf playing and put it into a movie. The only problem could be the start button disabling the file to play but you could change the stop command to a play one in ffdec or just manually click it maybe.
>> [_] Anon 3479288 >># you can just rip it by recording your screen and then changing the bit rate to your desired filesize
>> [_] SWFConversionIsHard 3479292 >># Anon, this is by far the simplest solution. Thank you so very much.

>> [_] Anon 3479294 Since we helped you, can you .zip the rest of her flash movies and post them in the thread, along with a vid of her farting on your cock, not before saying "this one's for you, /f/~"

>> [_] Anon 3479296 This slut is dangerous, and she's after us https://files.catbox.moe/28h4bj.PNG Confront her now
>> [_] Anon 3479310 >># >.I've tried using a bunch of different conversion websites This is the problem; do not use those. Use a screen recorder or Newgrounds.com tool "Swivel" to convert. Swivel has a method of dealing with start screens but overall using a screen recorder is best and virtually the same
>> [_] Anon 3479312 >># OP, you should just open the files and use OBS to record them, then convert the MP4 to whatever you want. That will work fine for the ones with no audio. If the ones with audio aren't dynamic, looping content, they will also work under this method.
>> [_] Anon 3479319 webmcam am I allowed to use N**** in this board?
>> [_] Anon 3479320 >># saying nigger is not allowed here you nigger
>> [_] Anon 3479331 >># have some class, niggerfaggot
>> [_] Anon 3479339 NOOOOOOO You can't just unflashify flash files, that is wrong!!!
>> [_] Anon 3479340 >># that being said, that flash should stay flash because flash is king, you can just use newground's flash-to-video program https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/creator- resources/flash-resources/swivel it can record you pressing buttons in a flash game as well
>> [_] Anon 3479356 If you have it, 7zip can also decompress compressed SWFs. You can extract them with the right click menu item it likes to put on everything, or drag and drop them onto its shortcut icon.
