Might obviously be because it was my first MMO I think, back when those were not so common and p2p only. Played on a free private server of course, I guess in that regard I never once play the true original official RO, but for me private servers were RO. It was all you'd imagine from an MMO, having fun with strangers, grinding on end, social shenanigans and MODS being GODS. Lots and lotsa memories. Guess theoretically it never went away, but the people and my free time sure did, so for me RO is long dead. Sometimes I miss those times, but I won't be sad. They were real, I was there to witness them. My life is a living testament for all the fun that happened during the time RO was alive and well. The only place I still feel that way is probably right here on /f/. If only because of the same rose tinted nostalgia. Maple story was 2d sidescrolling while RO was peudo 3D top down. But I guess both kinda embody the same era of MMOs. Heard Wakfu was also among them, even made in flash.

Got plenty of savings so I can afford to just NEET and reminisce while I wait Got a house I can sell to cover euthanasia. Pretty much on death row but ive got all the time in the world till then.
