After you get flash, you look at a tutorial, n00b. I haven't used Flash a lot yet, but the thing that tripped me up at first was the difference between frames and keyframes. Another one of Flash's strengths is sprites/symbols/whatever, which can be made to animate independently of the main timeline without any further input. OP's movie abuses these and the creator constantly reuses symbols between flashes.
