Yes. Marisa dies, because she's human. Alice doesn't die ever, because she's a youkai witch
(started out as human, practiced dark arts, now subsides by eating humans and makes dolls in the

You're confusing things. The problem with the human not being a monster is in this case the
monster's problem entirely, because the human gets to spend her entire life with the monster.
It's only the monster who's left missing her after she dies.
And since it's the monster's problem only, the human doesn't really have any incentive to become
a monster (which many people don't want to do anyway)
