I think it's a darker version of the medical condition "Fetus in fetu", where when twins are
forming, one grows around and consumes the other. The second lives live a parasite in the first's
body. The severity of it varies a lot. The parasitic twin can be anything from a collection of
cells to a collection of extra bones and organs. Look it up, it's both creepy and fascinating.
I haven't heard of this ever happening, though. ._.
