  Actually, I checked it, and it takes 1000000000 XP for a mastery level and the XP requirement
  goes up for each mastery level. Get 100 and you can choose rebirth. Rebirth increases your
  starting stats and the amount of stat points you get at each level by 1 per rebirth.

  Buying Hardcore skills gives you the following options:

  5 or more - Meditation, Returns all points spent on impatience.
  20 or more - Enlightenment, Continually levels until xp is depleted.
  50 or more - Master Slice, Cuts amount of xp needed for mastery by 10%

  Using any of the skills will reduce your Harcore level with the skill level chosen.

  Enlightenment can be especially useful since you only increase your skills with 3 per tick, even
  if you have for more XP then needed for a level.
