this game kicks ass
god-tier:
Mario - running means you can complete levels faster than anyone else. Lacks a projectile early
on but gets one with stage 3 (obviously)

Simon - fucking doublejump breaks this game
high tier:
Rizer - aims in all 8 directions, fires fast as hell. stage 3 weapon makes this game its bitch.

Link - sword does more damage than any other weapon at stage 3, boomerangs are hilarious. Being
permanently half-size kicks ass.
mid tier:
Samus - decent, but is basically a weaker version of rizer, morph ball is generally less useful
than crouching, and stage 3 is weaker than rizer's splitshot.
low tier
Megaman - sliding sucks ass, charge is too slow to matter, chargebeam doesn't 1-hit goombas,
stage 3 is balls.
