I was actually part of a team helping design flash with Macromedia some years back.
Making good utilization of flash has always been my focus :D
Somehow, I'm not sure Adobe would officially approve of this utilization here, haha

To hell with Adobe. Ten years of supporting their goddam graphic design crapware have resulted in
the only thing keeping me from going down to Adobe HQ and crapping on the doorstep is not wanting

Macromedia was twice the company Adobe is.

It works regardless of where it's hosted. The crossdomain.xml allows all requests and apparently
leech.png isn't used anymore. Or maybe OP is suppressing the Referer header.
