You see, the problem with Sonic like most other nintendo games is that it doesn't actually grant
the characters personalities or the plot with enough depth to make ANYTHING out of, that's why
the entire Sonic X show was basically sonic sleeping or running, amy hitting things or being
lame, and tails flying around.
The only people actually interested in making fanfics about characters like these either destroy
the characters nonexistent personalities and rewrite new ones, or try and play lego with what are
essentially round rocks.

What this guy said....kinda, I think.
All I know is sonic doesn't have any good reason to have such loyal followers. He's a vapid,
sterotypically "cool" character. The creation process for sonic was like, "We need to beat
nintendo, kids like cool things, think up a cool character."
