planet of chaos. They have an allotted time and if they aren't finished by then, they're left for
dead to finish their mission to regain their honor.

Remember that a single greater Daemon with his army can basically fight on even ground with a
Space Marine chapter. Your "entire planet of chaos" means "an entire planet of chaos cultists",
not a greater chaosworld on the edge of the Warp. That's what they send entire battle fleets for.
2000 Spartan IIs could probably kill a planet of barely-enhanced normal humans too.
