Emo? I thought the game to have an confusing plot (Mostly because I'm playing a retranslated
version of it *less censorship*) at best but I barely detected any emo crap. If you want an
example of Emo, then you should go play FF7.

the plot is not confusing. it's pretty much a combination of some of the most popular tropes of
this genre and of classical epics, e.g. fallen hero seeking redemption (cecil), best friend's
betrayal over unrequited love (kain), a world in chaos uniting to fight the unspeakable evil (the
giant of babil fighting the red wings, dwarves, et al)
it's still a good game though, and a game that had a much better story than every single other
game out at the time.
