Ok, so Flash text fields can hold HTML and CSS. How's about just using real HTML to re-create a
post instead of using a fugly JPG with artifacts?

It only supports a small subset of html. Basically only the formatting tags, like <p>, <b>, <i>, <
u>, <br>. But the real problem there is the size, it was meant to be played on 654x450 or
something like that, not full viewport. You can see the original size on swfchan.
