Spike didn't do anything. It was made by the EXACT same people who made the original series.
J.K.F. (John Kris) was the creator of the show, got fired from Nickelodeon because he was
incredibly drag-ass after the first two seasons, and was offered a heap of money by Spike to make
the series he wanted to make.
This is what he and Spumco put out.
