If you play the game based around 'effective' classes, you're missing the main source of
entertainment.
on top of that, if the DM doesn't make a campaign based around every class being useful and
closer-to-equal, then you've got a bad DM.

Then your DM hasn't done his job. Your goals should never be godhood. If your DM is a good one,
you will be far too busy simply trying to survive the elaborate web of violence and deception
he's woven for you. If you never risk really losing anything important to your character, then
what's the point. It should be considered a victory, if not a fucking miracle, when you get
through an encounter and nobody is freaking dead.
Plus, Pathfinder rocks teh fuck out of 4e
