this video is exactly what's wrong with militant atheism. "you can't be christian because it
doesn't fix child abuse", well um, atheism doesn't fix child abuse either, because it's child
abuse, and not the result of a religious doctrine. People will find a way to justify child abuse
if they're disposed to justify child abuse. That doesn't make it right, and it doesn't mean that
their religion is essential to their practice of child abuse.

So I've had a couple so bare with me.
It's not that religion played a part in this video, he's using child abuse to doctrine his belief
that religion is wrong in so many ways. As he switched spanking with beating he also abandoned
the idea that children need to be disciplined in a manner they would understand, physical
disciplined is one of the only ways a child will understand, simply telling a child is wrong
doesn't instill an idea that it's wrong for these reasons. A child cannot reason so there for
needs to be physically disciplined. The fact that he's throwing it against evangelicals is
completely absurd. I'm a non-practicing christian and I still believe in beat the shit out of my
child if he royally fucks up in public.

Oh come off of it, I got my ass kicked as a kid and for good reason. I know a few other who did
and for the most part. The majority of the people I know who did turned out to be decent well
rounded people. I have found that the most people who didn't are spoiled fucking brats, or some
other form of " I can do whatever the fuck I want when I want." I mean I know a few parents who
never spanked their kid and they turned out alright... I guess.. The only problem with them is

Typically, pain can produce a much longer lasting memory. If you go and set your hand on an
electric burner that looked cool, but was still very hot and you were burned, you'd remember next
time to either not put your hand on the burner at all, or test to see if the burner is still warm.
People believe that spanking is child abuse, and I have to vehemently disagree. Punching your
child, or beating their ass until they can't sit, or causing bleeding or things of that nature, I
do consider abuse. Slapping their ass to leave a slight sting that lasts a few minutes and may
leave a reddened handprint for the duration isn't.
Children can't handle complex thinking and reasoning, so you need to deal with things the basic
way. It's far more effective.

perform basic inductive reasoning, and if you tell them something is wrong with a concrete
