  well... it's definitely open to interpretation as to the exact fate of each alice. but we do know
  that each alice meets an ironic fate.

  for instance the alice of clubs can be interpreted as creating a distortion of others'
  perceptions of her. however, her own ability to perceive is destroyed. alternatively you could
  say that she created the kingdom from the virtue of her own beauty, but her ability to perceive
  beauty was destroyed.

  as far as the fate of the alice of hearts (the twins) the ironic fate is that they explore these
  fictional places for fun, but they happen upon the "realm of the first alice" which you could
  either interpret as meeting the alice of spades who then kills them or, personally i believe, the
  realm of the first alice was some kind of manifestation of violence and one twin killed the other
  due to the realm's influence.

  possible that the surviving twin somehow believes that the dead twin is still alive. e.g. "to

  I think that the twins' section implies pretty heavily that the brother kills the sister. What it
  means by "stumbled on the realm of the first Alice" is a little more difficult, but I took it to
  mean that they came close to finding/understanding her, but the sister died in the process. (Your
  interpretation of why he kills her strikes me as correct, though I wish I could get a better
  transcription of the original lyrics to work off of.)

  the issue is that the song existed before the flash and this version of it existed, and it's less
  clear (about all the alices, not just the twins) if you watch/hear the original. if you listen to
  the lyrics without any visual aid, it's hard to say whether the words are meant to be interpreted
  that the first alice killed them, or that they discovered something else that destroyed them.
