But... It IS garbage. The manga is far, far superior. I mean, there was fanservice there, but it
wasn't up to the completely stupid levels that is was in the anime. Plus, the anime cut out a
bunch of plot points just because they couldn't show them on TV.

It is drawn by a hentai mangaka. So the gratuitous fanservice in the manga is justified, the
anime's reason is the mangaka and the director both agreed to GO BEYOND THE IMPOSSIBLE for it.
Literally, the artist was gushing happily about how over the top the anime will do it.
