That was a really challenging game, I finally won it though. It was pretty cute, but some of the
time it felt like the pathing was really selective-- and I don't even understand how to stop the
floating skull of impending doom.

the game was created by a troll who makes little flash movies that involve lots of screeching.
fyi, the 2 player co-op is not supposed to work, it's more or less a joke.
He also makes a game called junglecock which is absolutely hilarious.

The skull is you starving to death. The flower in the upper-left represents your state of hunger;
it loses petals with time. Eat three flowers to add one petal to the upper-left meter.
How many petals the hunger flower loses per time varies with how far into the game you are. At
the beginning, it'll only lose one petal for each go-round of the bar timer. Near the end, you'll
be lucky if one petal stays on for more than one bar timer.
Note that getting ANY petals onto the hunger flower resets the skull. So it is possible to reach
100 flowers eaten.
