Every pirated copy of a movie is a direct sale lost.
I started pirating Avatar when it was released. Then I torrented it, deleted it, and redownloaded
it.
I have been repeatedly doing this since the movie was released.
I have torrented it something like 600 times now.
Obviously that means 20th Century Fox have directly lost 600 sales.
If I keep doing this, and everyone else joins in, eventually 20th Century Fox will have lost so
many sales, they will be in dept, and eventually bankrupt.
I suggest from now on, anytime a director/publisher fucks around, we all proceed to do this, and
destroy them.
After all, every torrent is directly one lost sale.

Torrents are slow so you should ignore the fact that they're free, and also that they are not slow

Of all the silly angles to attack, to say that torrents are less convenient than buying a movie
is one of the least logical ones.

the only things dvds have over pirated copies of movies is the extras and what not... pirated
copies that aren't dvd image rips...
that being said, I torrent rare movies and things that I enjoy but I don't want to spend money
on... if I like the artists that produced the film, I'll support them in numbers only (I'm not
deluding myself in thinking the film makers actually see a red cent of dvd sales) and buy a copy

This isn't 1995. Torrents down get corrupted and abort.
At least they could've shown utorrent or something, at least TRY to make it look like they were
being realistic instead of pandering to the most retarded DVD buyers.

Yeah, so they didn't have to go out and buy it? Or order it online or something and wait for it

The film industry is so retarded.
Instead of wasting money lobbying congress to make it harder to torrent, and wasting money on
making these laughable shits of commercials, they should spend that money looking into ways to
make it easier to get a movie from them for a reasonable fee than from anywhere else. I don't
WANT to pay $5 in gas to drive to a theatre, $8 to get in, $6-$10 in concessions, and then have
to spend the length of the film listening to babies and children crying and jackasses talking on
their god damn cellphones. I would probably be willing to spend $10 to watch an opening weekend
screening from the comfort of my own home. IF it was something I wanted to see.
