well, a cheap and easy way is to flip the images in fotoshop and import then into a new
movieclip, which is then used for the animation facing left.

There are dozens of ways, depending on how you plan on doing pretty much everything else with
that player object later on. First of all, this is not the place to come for programming advice.
Second, you need to learn a hell of a lot more if you're not advanced enough to figure this out
on your own to have any chance at doing whatever you're trying to do.

IF user presses left so luffy is facing left
THEN use left-facing sprite cycle or flip existing one
IF user presses right so luffy is facing right
THEN use right-facing sprite cycle
I know shit about the language/syntax being used but that seems about right, doesn't it?
