[_] [?] Recharging batteries breakthrough Anonymous 01/26/09(Mon)23:25 No.882930
Scientists recently discovered a new way to charge dead batteries
>> [_] Anonymous 01/26/09(Mon)23:58 No.882951
Thats actually pretty neat, but I doubt they "recently" discovered this.

ah you caught me, yeah it is about 2 years old i think, i will see if i can dig up the article
about it.

BATTERIES. DO. NOT. WORK. THAT. WAY.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Wait... what?!?!
Is this just an elaborate hoax? How the fuck would that ever work?!?!!?
>> [_] Namefag 01/27/09(Tue)00:17 No.882974
This guy seems fishy. I think I'll listen to Marty Chang instead.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)00:23 No.882975
"It's called electrical tape because it conducts electricity."
Yeah.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)00:24 No.882977
Well, it would work, if he ran a wire to complete the circuit. As described, though, he's just
pulling your leg.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)00:29 No.882983
>>882977
No it wouldn't. They would simply be parallel. You would have to connect negative to positive.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)00:40 No.882990
this show is the greatest troll ever
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)00:56 No.882997
regular batteries work through a chemical reaction that won't revert (like in rechargeable
batteries), so re-storing more electricity is impossible
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)01:04 No.883004
Despite how much I want someone to try this and ask 'pics or it didn't happen' anyone who did
this might not make it back to their computer... ever.
You guys have no idea how dangerous this is.
ESPECIALLY THE LAST PART WHERE HE SHOWS THE 9VOLTS
THAT THING WILL KILL SOMEONE
Batteries arranged in this way build up dangerous amount of potential and heat.
The 'electric pressure' inside the batteries can cause them to heat up hotter than a stovetop or
explode.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)01:05 No.883005
>>882997
Actually with the proper reverse potential it is possible to reverse the chemical reaction.
That being said, this is not how you do it.

>>883004
And by electric pressure I was just using that as a way to say the density of charge carries in
the medium.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)01:16 No.883008
>>883004
Well now someone HAS to try it
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)01:18 No.883011
Mind Blown Cheers to OP
>> [_] sage Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)01:36 No.883023

WHy... can't you just use a normal battery recharger?

How does a battery charger work? How is that different from a couple of batteries?
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)03:47 No.883092
>>883076
A battery charger does 2 useful things:
1) Puts in enough charge so that the battery actually charges
2) Doesn't put it so much charge that the whole thing FUCKING BLOWS UP
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)04:25 No.883110
I lol'd he's playing Minesweeper on the computer.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/27/09(Tue)05:33 No.883134
putting lemon juice on the contacts speeds the chemical reaction...
WUT?!
