I old'd. I was thinking about this the other day, thank you.
I never see queues anymore, not even when expansions come out.
But then again, it doesn't matter how many people are on a server, since nobody ventures outside
of Stormwind/Orgrimmar anymore.
They say they're giving more incentive to get out into the world in Mists, but we'll see. They
also said dungeons would be harder and wanted people to explore in Cataclysm, before they decided
that wasn't casual enough.

OP here, imo they should just remove all expansions and go back to classic and give back 40man
raids. Instead of the 1000 x 5 member guilds on a realm they have right now, having a few guilds
on a realm that actually create a community.

I don't think going back to vanilla will solve everything. The vanilla game was good, but adding
to it isn't what broke the game, dumbing it down and splitting the server communities did.
What they NEED to do is condense the smaller realms (kicking and screaming if they have to) and
get rid of Cross-server queues. That's what killed server communities in the first place. What,
you don't want to have to look for a group and actually converse with other people? Too bad, but
I got a game you might like. It's called progress quest.
Make tanking harder again, make threat something you have to work for and make enemies use
abilities that are actually crippling and you will fix grouping and crowd control.
All that's left after that is making the classes diverse again.

Does this actually have an ending to it?
I made it to "Position in Queue: 2368" before I gave up.
