Imagine if you will that for most of your life, the only thing you have is your 1 friend. A
friend, who may have been a complete asshole, but he was always there. Not there for you, but he
was there to listen to what you have to say and keep your emotions in check by being a gluttonous
asshole.. Then, the one friend in your life dies. You no longer have anyone to talk to, and
you're too old to make new friends.. So in the mornings, you're used to saying hello to that
orange cat, but as your eyes adjust to reality he's not there.
That's what I picture has happened here.
