Back in the day the village priests were smart men who knew the value of human life and knew how
to make useless people useful.
It was the priests job to help people. If there was a person in the village who had drunk his
fortune away, it was the priest's job to make him useful again.
Word of god was what gave them sense of purpose and priests reinforced that faith by making them
a place in the society.
Christianity was made to control the uneducated and superstitious idiots and reform people back
when manpower was a precious resource.
The bible worked fine as long as those stupid uneducated idiots never actually learned how the
read the damn thing, which is why it was made to be so fucking confusing to read and
contradicting itself in every turn so as to have some counter always when bunch of idiots rallied
under specific passage in the bible.
Unfortunately, this works backwards as well.
