This has been an argument ever since the industrial age. The jobs don't really go away but are

To the extreme, every job can be done with machines even CEO and Company Presidents. Gather
market data, gather business information and make changes.
The real point is if people are going to have fewer jobs where will be the money to afford the
things the company makes? If everything is made by machines and there is no income for humans how
will goods be addressed? Because everything certainly wont become free.
