I read a while back about this, some guy came up with some theory about their imaginations and
the limitations of where they are and such, describing how they get whatever they want, but can
never be together - he summons chalk and she the cape and box, and what ever she used to cut her
own off

this is one of the most nonsensical and specious bullshit flashes i've seen in years, and i've
seen a lot. TOO DEEP FOR ME. barrier separates a couple in love, okay. guy tries to break the

I never understood how they could seemingly manifest anything they wanted (chalk, the arm cast
for the boy, the amputation method for the girl, the present box, and the cloak). Now, the boy
painfully learns he can't break the glass, but why not take a page from an experiment that
already worked? He threw the chalk -over- the glass. Why didn't he just get a ladder?
I guess this is one of the reasons the author wasn't completely satisfied with the story.

The artist who made this actually later explains that nothing living can cross the barrier.
Later in a test game you can find the glass wall with all the writing/drawings on it and he tried
to get over with a ladder while she tries to warn him of the danger. I believe he loses an ear in
that process.
