The beam cannon is underpowered. It takes the same amount of time to kill an enemy as the gun --
the only redeeming factor is that it crosses the screen instantaneously. Make it about 20%
stronger.

Try alternating between using the gun and the beam cannon; use the time it takes for the gun to
reload and fire the beam cannon for a second, then fire the gun. Nice combo, as the gun takes a
set amount of time to reload and pressing x twice still has the same reload time.
