lol, it's called asphalt land. I spent a lot of time for no reason creating a sim city 2000 map
first with mountains, then covering those mountains with asphalt.

Streets of Sim City, a pretty cool game that let you go through the cities you would make in Sim
City 2000.
Then blow the hell out of those cities if you liked. There were deathmatch modes, and story
scenarios where you would, for example, fight aliens as an elderly woman and her dog trying to
save their delivery service.

Streets of Sim City came late into Maxis' career, before they were bought out by EA and The Sims
came around.
They decided to get... innovative, and create a car combat/racing game that allowed players to
incorporate a player's Sim City 2000 cities into the game.
It wasn't too much, but it wasn't terrible. The idea and execution acted as a prototype for
sandbox video games like Grand Theft Auto 3... and the rest is history.
