I'm of two minds on lawsuits like this. A lot is frivolous crap.
But gems like the McD's coffee lawsuit. In all honesty keeping that shit so hot in the pot, about
15-20 degrees hotter than the industry average, was moronic. Yeah, you've just created a real
health risk against your consumer and employees.
And there was the makeup that after a certain amount of time had passed a bacteria that could and
would eat your eye bred and developed in it.
Shit like that needs to be punished.
Microwaving your cat not so much.

Seriously? Are you that fucking stupid? The elderly woman that filed the suit ended up getting
massive third degree burns over her thighs and pelvis and had skin grafts.

Third-degree burns come from situations like the ones you read about in the paper. Fireman
rushing from burning buildings. People rolling on the ground with their clothes on fire. Pots of
boiling water spilling on vulnerable skin. Accidents involving electrical outlets. Any of these
can cause serious burns and shock.
Not from fucking McDonalds coffee which is a little bit too hot.
>> [_] Anonymous07/11/12(Wed)11:52No.1717392
And even then, unless they threw it at her, she should have known it was going to be hot anyway.
She made the mistake.

you can actually get a third degree scalding burn if, for instance, a soaked piece of clothing in
contact with skin isn't removed fast enough from a person.
A third degree burn doesnt necessarily mean all layers of skin tissue are destroyed, just that
theyre dead.
