what am i watching
I'll answer that for myself, actually.
It's a shitty ass 240p amv made by some kids who think hue shifting, generic transition,s and
electronic music will make any video better.
(they're wrong)
>> [_] Anonymous 08/29/12(Wed)16:11 No.1754201
the resolution is actually 640x360, which is a marked improvement over my original which was
probably 355x240, so kindly stfu. ;p
>> [_] Anonymous 08/29/12(Wed)16:17 No.1754207
shitty quality flash versions of youtube amv videos, oh FUCKING BOY
>> [_] Anonymous 08/29/12(Wed)16:20 No.1754210
I think of it as a way to draw attention to bad ass videos in the way /f supports it. if /f
supported mp4 or there was some way to stream from youtube then i would.
It does not.. so this is the next best thing.

What?
You can embed any resolution in flash, it's the same quality as the original video: shitty.

>>1754213
not sure what you are saying. the resolution of the flashs and the quality of the original aren't
factors you can link. If you saw the original videos the quality is HD with little artifacting.

If you embed a 1080p video into a swf and play it in a browser that is scaled to 1080p, the video
will still be 1080p, assuming it wasn't compressed when it was embedded.
The only reason there's artifacting is because some idiot downscaled and compressed the shit out
of the original video.
>> [_] Anonymous 08/29/12(Wed)16:54 No.1754231
uhmm.. yea.. so sure you CAN embeded a 1080p clip into a swf file... but 4chan only allows files
up to 10 megs to be posted. So you HAVE to compress the shit out of it... a 3 minute video only
gets about 400kbits/sec (+ 128ish for audio), thus the need to reduce resolution.
>> [_] Anonymous 08/29/12(Wed)16:58 No.1754233
>>1754231
So stream it.
It's better than compression at least.
>> [_] Anonymous 08/29/12(Wed)17:01 No.1754237
I have found no way to access the youtube streams using a swf. I belive the half dozen of swf
files I have seen that do stream video are accessing a .flv file that is hosted somewhere, I of
course have no access to such a file host.

which animes are here?

Back when Dubstep became mainstream, I said "I can't wait until kids start making shitty dubstep
AMV's instead of shitty Linkin Park AMV's."
Well, the time is here, anons.
This isn't even the first one I've seen.
This isn't even the first one I've seen on /f/.
I miss shitty Linkin Park AMV's already.

PS:
>>1754237
That shit is 1) very much possible 2) very easy to do 3) been done on /f/ multiple times

>>1754248
hah! Actually whats kind of nice about dubstep is there are so many mixes out there, unless you
pickout all the skrillex ones you are not likely to hit the same song in an AMV. That said, that
means there is alot of AMV dubstep that is crap. I post the ones that I dont think are crap but
that is just my opinion.

You can do in in three lines of code, or if you want more customization over the skins and stuff
you can follow this guide:

I know. I've been listening to dubstep since... hmmm... 2005, I think. I just prefer the chill
stuff, not this brostep bullshit that is used in all the AMV's and what the mainstream listens
to. It isn't really even dubstep, but good luck getting that into their head.

That early scene with a meganekko staring at blood droplets in the air is from the Disappearance
of Haruhi Suzumiya movie.

dont fucking do it though, a swf file with embedded video lasts forever. a linked youtube video
does not.
you may THINK it will work forever but it will be gone in a year. maybe two. also it wont work
offline
end line is that embedded videos are the way to go on /f/. we dont like flash files that depends
on outside sources. maybe a few fags do, but not most of us
