I just don't seem to understand why or how can a girly show inspires people to make such

They weren't really inspired by the show.
Either it was the fan stuff that inspired them (it goes really hardcore if you look hard enough),
or the ponay stuff was only added because the artists like it and wanted attention from the brony
community
