Its weird, because Tenchi is the only harem show i can recall that justified the main characters
refusal to fuck any of them.
The two characters who were legitimately in love with Tenchi were Ryoko and Ayeka, and both of
them were remorseless killers who would have murdered the other (and Tenchi) the second he picked
one over the other. He cared about them and found them attractive - but he recognised that sex
with either was a literal death sentence.
As for the rest they were mostly nonserious (like Mihoshi, who found him attractive but never
acted on it or indeed much of anything at all) or Washu - who was a one thousand year old
ex-goddess who was interested in vivisection than love.
The only girl who was nice to him and showed little or no ridiculous attraction was Sasami. And i
believe she was the one he ended up marrying. So yeah.
