i understand everyon wants to make a story based on something thats already made, which is fan
fiction. i get that.
but some stuff SHOULDNT have fan fiction. if its good, DONT FUCK WITH IT. LEAVE IT ALONE.
the original alice story is good, and american mcgee just made alice as a crazy girl who caused
the fire that killed her parents and wonderland went into madness. that story if good.
FAN FICTION OF ALICE, IS NOT NEEDED. ALICE IS A GIRL, NOT A BOY, AND SHE ISNT SOME WARRIOR WHO
KILLS PEOPLE WITH A SWORD.

... It's using the name "Alice" to represent a concept, not a person.
it's "AN" Alice, where Alice represents an archetype. It's a colloquialism based on the
popularity and common knowledge of the story, intended to evoke an image and concept related but
not identical.
Please excuse me while I go spend a few minutes in my hugbox.

Oh, by the way. American McGee's 'Alice" did the same thing. It's not a recounting, a rewriting,
a reinterpretation or a fanwork based on the original story. It's no a fanwork of Carolll's work
than it would be of Shakespeare's if I used my car keys to scrawl "PUCK" on a bathroom stall and
then "A Midsummer Night's Dream" underneath it.

The chinglish makes me cringe while I try to guess what message the person was trying to pass.
