Fuck off.
You idiots fill this board with unimaginative games built off of framework software, the same
three videos over and over, and then have the balls to try and "improve" something that didn't
even fucking need it. The "8bitreadingrainbow" flash on the front page now? That needed it. The
original music was just Standard MIDI, and now it's true 4-channel NES waveform/triangle/PCM.
This, though? Run for the fucking hills, faggot, your fanbase's days are numbered. The
mainstream's catching on, they're seeing you as pedophilic and mentally unstable people, and that
only means that the end of the party is coming swiftly. Enjoy.

Though still not as bad as some other anime/westernized bastardizing shows, I won't lie, It'd be
nice if it wasn't flash but I find the style more bearable than the other GENs including one,
which, looking back is kinda freaky now ... and the humor is genuine with an approach to writing
that takes into account a broader audience, much like looney toons did.
Also, for some reason, sagenoko seems to be working for me... i think.

You didn't actually laugh to it, did you? The writing doesn't really seem to appeal to anyone
except kids, the stories aren't really interesting, they don't have any depth, etc etc
Truth is, the bronies don't really like MLP. Some do, sure, but those are rare as fuck. What they
really like is the fan works on it - which is mostly porn. This, combined with the fact that the
"ponies" are actually all but void of actual equine features, looking actually more like cats,
proves that bronies are in fact furries, but a little less human and a little more animal.

I do laugh at it. It is primarily targeting six year old girls, but when asked the crew always
mentioned they kept the parents in mind too. Which I think leads to a writing and story style
that grows more inclusive so that fans who are six will still appreciate the show when they have
children of their own and find humor they missed as children. I think this translates to a
broader audience in general.

Speaking of depth, I'll say it's just a cartoon and some things don't really need a point. That's
what I mean by genuine, it's just trying to be entertainment, trying, and thus I find it more
appealing then some of these other 80s rehashes- such as what was done with heman.
Can't speak for the whole 'fandom', but I don't look for much art outisde the show. Sure I've
heard some of the remixed music and smirked at some parodies, but the show is simple enough for
me. I don't really need more.
As for porn. Well. As with any cartoon there are just some lines which don't need to crossed,
especially if the show isn't meant to address it. So I can't really say I know too much about
that.

That's what cartoons are for.
Let's see, an episode with a plot of any interest at all... Well, the first and second episode of
season one establishes the world, and according to Lauren Faust was suppose to be the whole
'feel' of the show, but Hasbro wanted it to be episodic so... Also, 'Return of Friendship 1-2'
which iirc is the beginning of season 2, as well as the end of season two 'Canterlot Wedding',
introduces villianious elements and are much more in kein of the adventurous type. Sonic Rainboom
is pretty good too, if not predictable.
The rest is just entertainment and general fare, though keeping continuity, but I'd recommended
'Super Speedy Cider Squeezer 6000' just because it's good fun.

Yes, that's true, stuff doesn't inherently need to have a point, or any depth at all. But, just
like with vidya gaems, no depth or point just essentially turns it into something more fit for
kids or absolute casual cartoon watchers, much in the same way Angry Birds is for kids or
absolute casual vidyagaemers.
I just don't see how you can actively like it. Maybe watch an episode every now and then for
shits and giggles, but actually liking it is something i cannot into.

Anything involving a large number of people is bound to have weird elements, because people are
weird. Stay away from what you don't like, and look for what you do.
For example, I don't mind some of the fan song remixes, try Super Ponybeat — Discord (EuroChaos
Mix) [The Original!], Foozogz - ,~*Smile!*~, (Rmx VIP), and maybe, This Day Aria Symphonic Metal
Remix on youtube. A little much on the eurobeat... but ok none the less. The Dr. Whooves and
assistant parodies are ok, simple because I like Dr. Who too, but that's fandom stuff for you.

Naw, if I think about it there are some cartoons out there that deal with some heavy stuff. Most
refer to those as 'animations' as if trying to separate themselves via some higher form. I'm just
not afraid to say they can do both. Like any story in any medium, it can be purely for
entertainment, have a message, and a moral, or not. And, further, it can do all three without
shoving it down your throat a giving you a few laughs to boot.
I don't know if I'd leap to defend FiM as some kind of generational benchmark of animation, but I
will say it makes me laugh and for that, I like it.

Oh, you know what else the rules say? That /f/ is only for Japan-related flashes.
And /q/ is only for 4chan-related discussion. /mlp/ will either treat any anti-brony and brony
discussion attempt as trollish, or react hatefully and blow the entire thing to pieces.
If you take this from /f/, there won't be anywhere left in the world where people rationally
discuss what's probably the most hateful relationship these days. You can't just do that because
the rules say so.
>> [_] Anonymous 01/22/13(Tue)21:57 No.1864901

True, mainly because there is still a general idea in the "west" that any cartoon is just a
cartoon, and in the "east" that animation can tell a deep story, even if cartoons, but if you
look at the relationship tracking comics in the west influencing comics in the east, and then
comics in the east turning into cartoons in the east which then influences cartoons in the west,
you see this whole kind of loop, a cycle if you will, where inspiration off each other, the
mediums, slowly come closer and closer to what anybody considers 'art' and all it's implications
and depth.
Not saying it's there yet, but I do see it happening.

Feel free to take it back to your board anyway, and come across on /q/ with highest of intentions
to see what will happen, don't post any pony images in order to avoid sucking in trolls. The
people that care enough to hate on ponies probably come to mess with you guys anyway on /mlp/,
try addressing them in a discussion thread there if worst comes to worst
Rule 15 is a global rule, anyway, not a board specific rule.
Saying that /f/ isn't used as it should be in the first place as the rules state and then
proceeding to break more rules doesn't make it okay for you to shit up the place any more than it
already has been shat up.

Which is also where I see FiM fitting in. A transition, back almost, to a cross gene where
cartoons made for adults (such as loony toons) and cartoons made for kids, blend, to a broader
audience and influenced thereby of and for the animu, creates a kind of stepping stone for the
trend in animation, cartoons, art and thus human expression. But. that's all just a generalized
whisper of human experience and in reality... FiM is just another little cartoon, trying to
entertain. So, there it is. and I don't mind that.
