I have a real passion for immersive series, not just anime.
I need something that makes me feel like I'm following the main character, I need to feel like I
feel the situation they're in, to stress, panic, and understand what it is they're going through.
Evangelion was the first series I felt involved in, this amv kinda sums that up I guess.

(it would be RIDICULOUSLY apparent, you can (NOT) redo was so wild).
i never really 'got' old eva and it was difficult to watch but the new movies are just amazing.

every time i see these awesome mech fights in anime it just makes we want ANY game that can
recreate some of the fun i would have piloting an ultra agile machine firing large weaponry
and/or rushing into melle combat and pummeling something into scrap / a pulp
i don't even care if i pilot a mech powersuit or even just some kinda super powered human theirs
just no game out there that re creates what i would feel piloting these ultra agile machines the
closest ive gotten was the armored core series and any mech i made that was fast was IMMENSELY
hard to pilot and made of paper with either low ammunition counts or a weak weapon... if there is
any game where i can get that feel please tell me
don't say warframe its not the same
don't say mechwarrior that's a slow mech game (still fun)

I admit I have never watched any of the Evangelion series/movies.
I keep hearing it's good, I should give it a check.
Is it worth watching the movies on their own or will I just find them too confusing without the
series?
Also, with all the hype and fame I was certain that Evangelion has like a dosen seasons with
gazillion episodes but Wiki says there're only 26 episodes, is that true?

Story is good, but it decreases in quality each release
3.33 was so bad that Japanese viewers had to go and see it multiple times in theaters because the
ridiculous non-plot even confused them, and they thought they missed something.

Zone of the enders (1 & 2 on ps2) is the answer you're looking for. I personally don't like mech
stuff (except for evangelion and bokurano for animes) but ZoE was just one of the best games I
ever played.
