Nichijou is basically "Overreacting and Screaming - Schoolgirl Edition"
The animators seemed to make it their goal to cram as much batshit craziness into a 26 episode
show as they could while keeping it "slice of life."

Nah, there's as many different kinds of anime as there are Hollywood movies. It's like Disney
without content restrictions, there's the emo/angst crap you've probably heard about because it
makes the haters shriek the loudest, but also a lot of adult themes that Western cartoon
companies wouldn't dare explore, including sex (which makes the fans shriek the loudest) and
developmental themes like being forced to do awful things to avoid even worse things.
