Nothing deep about it, it's just the Greek story of Orpheus and Eurydice told in the form of a
shitty timing game. Dude goes into the depths of hell to rescue his deceased lover, warned that
he can only do so if he doesn't look at her while they're in the Underworld. Shittiness ensues in
the form of him eventually looking back and losing her after wasting his time, ala greek tragedy.
