This guy does GREAT animation work, but FUCK...
it not being journey...
and most of the stuff going on in the vid seems to be... I don't know WHAT is going on,
I'm afraid he threw a ton of work into this for not a lot of return.
Real shame because I friggin LOVE a lot of his previous vids.

Pretty awesome animation but it's just not as interesting as his other stuff.

As I recall, this was the introduction of the ghost/shadow character and was mostly experimenting
with animation. I'd argue this cover's better than Journey's original performance of the song,
but that's pretty debatable.
It's not as interesting as some of his other stuff, but it's generally kind of a transition
towards his animation abilities from his kind of crude, sloppy animation to much more fluid and
well-done animation that he tends to do afterwards. Kind of like how The Black Cauldron was kind
of Disney's transition from their 70's style animation which generally had kind of muted colors
and generally seemed to animated at 24 frames per second to their late 80s and early 90s style
which had much more vibrant colors and animated at 30 fps.
