are dying because they need a home so badly?
Whenever someone just gives up hope entirely of having kids just because apparently a child isn't
worth it if it's not your DNA, I just...find it hard to like them as a character. Either they're
dumb/a bit of an asshat at best, or, if I'm to believe they're really thoughtful, loving,
intelligent people, something like that destroys suspension of disbelief.
The rest gives me feels, don't get me wrong, but them just giving up kind of ruins it for me. :/

Honestly, when I saw the end of this scene, I honestly thought Pixar played their hand way too
early. I thought, that was it, the rest of the movie couldn't hope to have a good resolution
after this. The execution was simply too good.
And then the rest of the movie happened and I loved every second of it.
The lesson here, do not have regrets. Live your life happily and see the experiences for what
they are. They are adventures in their own sense. The future is a great unknown and it is our
destiny to explore the unknown and bring back our tales to guide the future.
